I’m obsessed with connecting the dots. I think across and come up with ideas beyond design to solve different challenges. Despite being a digital designer, I’m lucky to have strong commercial mindset.

Currently, I’m working as product designer in Amsterdam.

This project was apart of a  R+D ACCELERATOR. The client wanted speed up their process by validating and optimising the Ingredient-product-shelf cycle as well as  to look for new product formats through rapid validation with real customers.

My Contributions

I led the design efforts and participated in the full project. I worked closely with the project manager and growth marketing team to conduct research and used the insights to create ads, product, landing pages... Additionally, I facilitated in person workshops to co-create with the client.

Approach

With a lean methodology, We supported the client advising on and validating new product propositions, and building the MVPs. The phases of our solution included:

  1. Consumer Research: Market research, interviews, and surveys to understand consumer eating behaviours and preferences. We detected 5 possible market fits.
  2. Ideation and Concept Development/ Refinement: Collaborated with stakeholders to co-ideate product ideas within the 5 possible target audiences, focused on one format.
  3. Product Validation: We created 5 full-Funnels conversations with ads, landing pages and MVPs to test consumer engagement and conversion rate.
  4. Testing and Refinement: Placed product concepts in a US supermarket chain to evaluate sales volumes, price points, and consumer appetite. We collected feedback and iteratively refined the product based on the consumer.

Conclusion

The client understood the importance of combining consumer insights with iterative rapid prototyping. This approach shows the importance of user-centric strategies to drive success finding the right format, market, language and imagery understanding the consumer and reducing risk when launching and scaling a new product.
